Kimchee Stir Fried Pork Belly

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. Soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Gochujang
  • 2 Tbsp. Korean red pepper flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
  • 5 Strips pork belly
  • ½ Small onion sliced
  • 2 C. Kimchee chopped
  • 3 Green onions sliced on a bias
  • Toasted sesame seeds to garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Soy Sauce, Gochujang, red pepper flakes, sugar, garlic, and sesame oil. Stir well and set aside.

  2. In a large wok or skillet over medium high heat add the pork in a single layer and cook, turning once, until slightly crisp, about six minutes.

  3. Cut the pork into 1 inch pieces with scissors and drain some of the fat from the skillet with a paper towel.

  4. Add the onion and cook for a minute than add the kimchee and give it a stir, cook for about 3 minutes.

  5. Add the sauce and toss until everything is cooked, about 5-6 minutes then stir in the green onions.

  6. Transfer to a plate and garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
