We’re committed to bringing you a broad selection of meat, seafood and poultry, including specialty and hard to find items, from the highest quality sources possible, and from as many local purveyors as possible

Nice to meat you

In the Oliver’s Market Meat & Seafood Department you will find a wide-ranging selection of meat, poultry and seafood that will have you braising, roasting, grilling and smoking for days. We offer a diverse line of Oliver’s Own products from house-made gourmet sausage and burger patties to our own line of rubs and marinades. We are proud to feature meats from an extensive range of local ranchers and fishermen. You can also find grass-fed beef, organic, free-range chicken, lamb, buffalo and sustainable seafood. We have everything you need for any family dinner, backyard barbeque or crab feed!

A cut above the rest

Just like the departments you will find throughout the rest of the store – delivering excellent customer service is the number one goal in the Meat Department. We have incredibly passionate and experienced butchers ready to help you pick the perfect cut to be the star of your meal. Worried about how you’ll cook your choices when you get home? Fear not, our butchers can give you suggestions and cooking tips. Todd Davis, our Meat Department Coordinator, is committed to working with some of the finest local producers in the business and ensuring the Meat Department achieves the highest standards in the industry.

Masters of the grill

During the summer months, as well as for special occasions, our barbecue is open in front of all four stores every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The meats we grill are marinated or spice rubbed in one of our signature blends and cooked over an open flame by one of our experienced grill masters. At the barbecue you’ll find ribs (baby back & spare!), tri-tip, chickens, sausage, salmon, sandwiches, oysters, corn and potatoes. Hungry yet?

We’re so-fish-ticated

We source much of our seafood from the Tides Wharf Seafood in Bodega Bay, a partnership we’ve had for over 20 years. The Tides has over 75 years of experience in the seafood business, and they deliver to our stores two times a day. During the holiday season, the Tides Wharf is our only supplier of fresh and local Dungeness crab. The crabs are delivered right after they’re caught. We also work with the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch program in order to help our customers and employees make choices that promote healthy oceans.
