Cherry-Berry Rosé Compote
Ingredients
- 1 C. Cherries, pitted and halved
- 1 C. Strawberries, hulled and quartered
- ½ C. Rosé wine
- ¼ C. Sugar
- 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. Lemon zest
Instructions
n a medium saucepan, combine cherries, strawberries, rosé, and sugar.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruit softens and the liquid reduces to a syrupy consistency (about 10-15 minutes).
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and lemon zest, and let cool slightly.
Serve warm or chilled over pancakes, waffles, yogurt, or vanilla ice cream.
Tip: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. It’s also great as a cheesecake topping!
