Cherry-Berry Rosé Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 C. Cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1 C. Strawberries, hulled and quartered
  • ½ C. Rosé wine
  • ¼ C. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. Lemon zest

Instructions

  1. n a medium saucepan, combine cherries, strawberries, rosé, and sugar.

  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the fruit softens and the liquid reduces to a syrupy consistency (about 10-15 minutes).

  3. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract and lemon zest, and let cool slightly.

  4. Serve warm or chilled over pancakes, waffles, yogurt, or vanilla ice cream.

  5. Tip: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. It’s also great as a cheesecake topping!
