Baked Pasta

  • 1 Package Oliver's Own Pasta of choice
  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1 Medium onion, chopped
  • 1 Jar Oliver's Own Tomato Basil pasta sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Seasoned salt
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/3 C. Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 2 C. 4% Cottage cheese
  • 4 C. Shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • Chopped fresh basil

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.

  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions for al dente.

  3. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat for 6-8 minutes or until onion is tender and beef is no longer pink, breaking meat into crumbles; drain.

  4. Stir in pasta sauce and seasoned salt; set aside.

  5. In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, Parmesan cheese and butter.

  6. Drain spaghetti; add to the egg mixture and toss to coat.

  7. Place half the mixture in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Top with half of the cottage cheese, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese.

  8. Repeat layers. Place baking dish on a rimmed baking sheet.

  9. Cover and bake for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for 20-25 minutes longer or until heated through.

  10. Let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Sprinkle with basil.
