Fresh Figs with Ricotta and Honey

  • Serves: 4 servings
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes


  • 8 fresh organic Black Mission figs
  • 1/4 cup part-skim ricotta cheese(we love fresh Bellwether Farms Basket Ricotta!)
  • Oliver's Own Wildflower Honey (found in bulk) or your favorite honey
  • sea salt to taste(or fav is Maldon Sea Salt Flakes)


  1. Wash the figs, then make 4 cuts in a cross shape on each fig with a sharp knife from the stem downwards, stopping a 1/4 inch from the bottom.

  2. Place a large spoonful of ricotta in each fig.

  3. Drizzle each fig on the top with honey to taste, sprinkle with salt to taste and arrange on a plate to serve.
