Classic Pulled Pork

Pile it high in a sandwich or eat it by itself – no matter what, this pulled pork is bound to be a hit!

  • 1 (3-4 lb.) Oliver's Natural Bone-In Pork Shoulder Roast
  • 1 (12 oz.) can Coca Cola
  • 2 c. Ketchup
  • 1/4 c. Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 c. Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp. Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Onion Powder
  • 1 tbsp. Mustard Powder
  • 1 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
  • Salt & Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Pat down shoulder roast with paper towels to remove excess moisture, then season liberally with salt and pepper. Sear on all sides until deeply browned.

  2. In a bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic, onion, mustard powder, and cayenne. Place shoulder roast in a dutch oven and pour in sauce and Coca Cola; bake for 6 hours or until pork shreds easily.
