Meatless Bolognese Pasta Sauce

Featured at Oliver’s Market this week are an array of exceptional plant-based products, and this recipe uses a meat-substitute that is one of our favorites, Plant Boss Organic Meatless Crumbles. Whether you are vegan or not, this recipe is competition for a traditional meat-based Bolognese sauce!


  • Serves: 4-5 servings
  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 20 minutes


  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup minced carrot
  • 2 tablespoons minced celery
  • 3 cups vegetable stock
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1-25 ounce jar Oliver’s Own Marinara Sauce
  • 3.35 ounce package Plant Boss Organic Meatless Crumbles
  • fresh flat leaf parsley


  1. In a 4-quart stockpot, sauté onion, carrot, and celery in oil for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Add stock, soy sauce, tomato paste, Marinara sauce and crumbles.

  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.

  4. Serve with fresh pasta, and top with fresh parsley.
