Irish Soda Bread

A St. Patrick’s day favorite, always a welcome addition to your holiday feast!

  • Serves: 4-5 servings
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cook Time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 4 C. All-purpose flour
  • 1 C. White sugar
  • 1 tsp. Baking soda
  • 2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Pint sour cream
  • 1 C. Raisins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees, and grease two 8x4” loaf pans. Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the eggs, sour cream and raisins and mix until just combined. Distribute batter evenly between two pans. Bake loaves for one hour or until a toothpick inserted in the thickest point comes out clean.
    Serve alongside any Irish feast!
