Home Made Easy Kefir

Ingredients

  • Kefir Starter Packet
  • 1 Liter Milk (Do not use ultra-Pasteurized)

Instructions

  1. Heat Milk to 180°F (or bring to a boil). Let milk cool down to 73-77°F.

  2. In a cup, Dissolve Packet of Kefir starter into some of the cooled milk.

  3. Pour back into the liter and mix well.

  4. Pour inoculated milk into a clean airtight container. Close the lid and let stand at room Temperature until kefir forms, aprox. 24 hours (Cooler temperature will take longer while warmer temperature will go more quickly).

  5. Refrigerate for 8 hours to stop the incubation process.
