Heirloom Tomato Salsa

A zesty salsa bursting with vibrant flavors of jalapenos, white onions, cilantro, lime, and a hint of spice, perfect for your next party.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. heirloom tomatoes, cored and halved
  • 2 small red onion, peeled and cut into large chunks
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 medium jalapeño seeds removed for less heat
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse in short bursts until all ingredients are finely chopped and at your desired consistency.

  2. Taste and adjust seasoning, if needed.

  3. Salsa can be drained of liquid if you feel it’s too watery – consistency of salsa may vary depending on the water content of the tomatoes.

  4. Transfer to a bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight, before serving so flavors can develop.

  5. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips.
