Hard Apple Cider Caramel

This week, we’re getting ready for the Gravenstein Apple Fair with 20% off hard ciders! This hard cider caramel is great for topping everything from pancakes to ice cream, or go for the double-apple experience and throw it on baked apples. Either way, it’s a sweet, cider-y treat no one will be able to resist!

  • Serves: 4-6 servings
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes


  • 1 c. Sweet Hard Apple Cider
  • 1 c. Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 c. Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp. Kosher Salt


  1. In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat hard cider until boiling then reduce heat and simmer uncovered until reduced half, about 10 to 15 minutes stirring frequently.

  2. Remove sauce from heat and stir in salt and vanilla extract. Store in a tightly sealed jar in the fridge.
