Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c. Semisweet Baking Chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Unsalted Butter
  • 1 c. Confectioner's Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs + 2 Egg Yolks
  • 6 tbsp. Flour
  • Confectioner's Sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees, and thoroughly grease and flour 4 custard ramekins.

  2. Melt chocolate and butter together over low heat until they are evenly melted and have been combined fully. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and allow to cool slightly before adding sugar, eggs, and egg yolks and mixing to combine. Sift in flour and stir again until ingredients are just combined.

  3. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until the sides have set but the center is still soft and slightly jiggley. Allow cakes to rest for 5 minutes before inverting onto plate. Dust with powdered sugar to finish, these little cakes also go great with fresh berries or a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
