  • 2 (12 oz.) Snake River Farms American Wagyu Boneless New York Steaks
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable Oil
  • 3 sprigs Fresh Rosemary
  • 2 sprigs Fresh Thyme
  • 4 tbsp. Unsalted Butter
  • Sea Salt
  • Black Pepper.


  1. Season both sides of each steak liberally with sea salt only. Heat a cast iron skillet on medium high heat until hot; add vegetable oil, swirling to coat. When oil is nearly smoking. place steaks into pan one at a time, pressing gently to ensure an even sear. Allow steaks to cook with moving for 4 minutes, then flip and continue cooking for 2 minutes.

  2. Add rosemary and thyme sprigs to the pan with the butter; as the butter melts, spoon over steaks. Continue cooking, basting steaks constantly, for an additional two minutes, being careful not to overcook. When cooked, season with black pepper and allow the steaks to rest for 5 to 8 minutes before slicing.
