- 8 lbs. Gravenstein apples, cored and quartered
- 2 cups Oliver's Own Apple Juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice, strained
In an 8-10-quart heavy kettle or pot combine apples, apple juice, and lemon juice, Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 25-30 minutes until apples are very tender, stirring often.
Press apples through a food mill or sieve, if desired, or you can roughly mash them with a potato masher. Return pulp to kettle. If necessary, add ½-1 c. water to reach desired consistency. Bring to boiling.
Serve warm, or cool in the refrigerator.
