Quetzal Farms

Kevin McEnnis founded Quetzal farm in 1999 after completing the UCSC Farm & Garden apprenticeship. Keith Abeles joined him as co-owner in 2004 after working on farms, nurseries and as a sustainable agriculture advocate since 1988. Both partners were inspired to farm through travels to agricultural regions abroad, Kevin in Central America and Keith in Nepal. Quetzal Farm is named after the national bird of Guatemala, where Kevin planted his first garden.
