Tomato Basil Soup and Chicken Arugula Panini paired with Oliver’s Own Sangiovese

(2018, Sonoma County)

A classic soup deserves a sandwich that can also go the distance, and these two certainly set the standard. Made with chicken, arugula pesto, and plenty of fresh arugula, this peppery sandwich is the perfect foil for a creamy and rich tomato soup.

From our wine expert: “Paninis and Sangiovese, it doesn’t get more Italian than that! The spicy, grapey Sangiovese is a perfect foil for the peppery arugula and pesto.”

Spicy Thai Chicken Soup with Vietnamese Pork Sandwich paired with Oliver’s Own Pinot Grigio

(2018, Sonoma County)

Packed with tons of flavor, yet surprisingly light and balanced, our Spicy Thai Chicken Soup was a natural fit with our Vietnamese Pork Sandwich. Bursting with the flavors of lemongrass and fresh ginger, this brothy soup perfectly compliments the robust flavors of pork, fresh veggies, and plenty of pickles.

From our wine expert: “Pinot Grigio, with its natural higher acid profile and bright fruit, is a great pairing with the fresh pungency and complex flavors here.”

Carrot Ginger Soup with Gourmet Vegan Wrap paired with Oliver’s Own Pinot Noir

(2018, Russian River Valley)

An ideal lunch for any of our plant-based patrons! Whether you’re a true-blue vegan or just like to eat like one, this plant-based combo has got to be one of our favorites. Bursting with color and flavor, our Carrot-Ginger Soup is surprisingly hearty for a soup that’s so simple and fresh. It’s the perfect accent to our protein-packed Vegan Wrap, offsetting the intense richness of black bean hummus, falafel, and plenty of fresh veggies with its earthy sweetness and complex flavor.

From our wine expert: “Soft and velvety, Pinot Noir works wonders with these vegetarian offerings, holding up to, but not overpowering their subtle richness.”

Chicken Tortilla Soup with Grilled Chicken Sandwich paired with Oliver’s Own Sauvignon Blanc

(2019, Sonoma County)

Our Chicken Tortilla Soup and Grilled Chicken Sandwich are definitely a match made in heaven. The soup is loaded with plenty of chicken, veggies, and spices, all slowly simmered to tender perfection before ever making it near your bowl. Its intense richness calls for the simplicity of the sandwich, with pepperoncinis and pepperjack cheese adding a necessary ZING of spice.

From our wine expert: “Fresh and bracing, Sauvignon Blanc is a natural to pair with this spiced up Classic. Mouthwatering goodness.”

We hope to will try and enjoy these fresh new soup, sandwich and wine match-ups from Oliver’s soon. Cheers!
