One Year Anniversary Celebration May 20

Public invited to special day of free activities, giveaways, and entertainment


April 26, 2017, Windsor, CA – Oliver’s Market Windsor will pull out all of the stops to celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11 AM – 4 PM. Located in Windsor’s Bell Village west of Highway 101 and steps away from the Town Green at 9230 Old Redwood Highway, Oliver’s Market Windsor will celebrate the community with a day of free music, activities for kids, and special sampling and giveaways for great prizes, along with many other surprises.

The day’s schedule includes sampling with Rocky Free Range Chicken outside, drawings for great prizes storewide, and a generous offering of tasty samples from Oliver’s Barbecue, Deli, Bakery, Gourmet Cheese, and more. The cheesemakers from Valley Ford Cheese & Creamery will appear at 2 PM.

For kids and the young at heart, there will be free face painting from 11 AM – 3 PM, and Crackerjack, the Equisoft miniature horse, will appear from 11 AM – 3 PM. Local bovine celebrity Clo the Cow will stop by mid-afternoon to meet customers.

Free live and local music offerings for the day kick off with the Flying Eagles Dixieland Band appearing outside from Noon – 3 PM. In the Oliver’s Tavern Off The Green, guests will be treated to Ricky Ray from 1-3 PM and Saffell from 4-6 PM.

We have a great day planned with some excellent prizes, so we hope to see a good turnout for the celebration!”

Oliver’s Market Windsor and the Tavern Off The Green are located at 9230 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor, CA 95492. The phone number is 707/687-2050. The store is open daily from 7 AM – 10 PM. The Tavern Off The Green hours are Sunday-Wednesday: 11 AM – 9 PM and Thursday-Saturday: 11 AM – 9:30 PM.

Oliver’s Tavern Off The Green features a great pub menu and 24 rotating taps of local beer, wine and cider. Guests are welcome to order from the Tavern Menu or enjoy food purchased elsewhere in the store in this area.

Where "Local" Means Sonoma County

To us Local means Sonoma County -- period. Not Marin, not Napa, and definitely not the state of California, as some of our competitors define it.

From the day we opened our doors in 1988, we’ve built our business on the simple premise that the best food and wine in the world are produced here, in Sonoma County. We didn’t feel like we were pioneers at the time, but as people have come to understand and embrace the value of locally grown and made food and the value of shopping locally, we realize we were part of the early days of the movement.

As a Sonoma County business, we’ve built enduring relationships with local growers, makers, and manufacturers, because they make the foods and wines we love. Many of them were getting started when we were. Now they are nationally known, but for us, they are still old friends who often delivered products to our Cotati store in their cars back in the late 1980s.
