It’s Grill Time!

The skies have cleared, the days are getting warmer, and it’s almost March 31, so that can only mean one thing: It's time for us here at Oliver's Market to fire up our grills! That's right, grilling season is upon us once again and the Oliver’s Barbeque is back!

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM you can find our barbeques sizzling away in front of all four stores grilling up your favorite meats, seafood and sides. All of our meats are prepared in one of our Oliver's Own spice rubs including Rub Potion #9 or Mesquite, or in our Oliver's Own Citrus marinade or BBQ sauce.

We have selected three standouts from our menu to help you kick off grilling season:

  • Our whole tri-tip rubbed down with our own Mesquite spice blendand grilled to perfection is only $19.99
  • If ribs are more your style, a full rack of our baby back ribs rubbed down with our Rub Potion #9 spice blend is only $18.99. Trust me; they're fall off the bone delicious!
  • We marinate our locally raised Rocky Chickens in our own tangy Citrus marinade. A half chicken is only $4.99!

Other items available hot off the grill include a BBQ tri-tip sandwich, a salmon fillet with garlic butter, BBQ oysters, corn on the cob and even a pulled chicken sandwich. That's right; we have everything you need for the perfect barbeque themed meal, when you don't have time to do the grilling yourself.

Stop by one of our four neighborhood locations, place your order, and let our talented Meat Department crew grill up the perfect meal for you while you shop. While you're here, pick up a cheese or two for appetizers, some fixin's to make a fresh salad, beer or wine, and maybe some dessert to enjoy as well. Dinner is served! Happy Grilling season!

Where "Local" Means Sonoma County

To us Local means Sonoma County -- period. Not Marin, not Napa, and definitely not the state of California, as some of our competitors define it.

From the day we opened our doors in 1988, we’ve built our business on the simple premise that the best food and wine in the world are produced here, in Sonoma County. We didn’t feel like we were pioneers at the time, but as people have come to understand and embrace the value of locally grown and made food and the value of shopping locally, we realize we were part of the early days of the movement.

As a Sonoma County business, we’ve built enduring relationships with local growers, makers, and manufacturers, because they make the foods and wines we love. Many of them were getting started when we were. Now they are nationally known, but for us, they are still old friends who often delivered products to our Cotati store in their cars back in the late 1980s.

Along with local products being excellent choices for taste and quality reasons, buying locally also improves our local economy. The dollars you spend at local retailers buying local products support other local businesses and our tax base, too!
