Oliver’s Own Wines

As everyone knows, at Oliver’s, “Local Means Sonoma County.” You won’t see North Coast or California as appellations on our labels. So, it took some time and it took a lot of thinking, and of course, a lot of tasting too. In the end, we came up with what we believe is a winning formula for our own wines. Take a real sip of Sonoma County with Oliver’s Own Private Label wines.

Oliver’s Own Chardonnay, 2015 Sonoma Valley – Complexity and focus come together in an easy sipping white wine. This Chardonnay is refreshing and crisp with a beautiful dose of acid. Whole-cluster pressing and cold-settling of the juice was followed by barrel fermentation, creating a lightly oaked, versatile wine.

Oliver’s Own Pinot Noir, 2014 Russian River Valley – Multi-layered with enticing aromas of cherry cola, ripe raspberry and vanilla bean anticipate lush, concentrated red-fruit flavors infused with earthy notes, a bit of subtle smoke and spice. Silky and smooth with a long, satisfying finish.

Oliver’s Own Cookies

We have a brand-new Commissary Bakery where we create wonderful baked goods for all our stores, including our delicious house-made cookies. We chop, toast, mix and season our cookies and send them to our stores where our in-store staff bakes them as fast as they fly off our shelves. Because we use Clover butter, local Rock Island eggs, loads of nuts, spices, oats, honey, molasses and other delicious ingredients you can pronounce, our cookies are always fresh and delicious!

Let us take the hassle out of dinner tonight with these delicious Oliver’s Own products. Bon Appétit!

Where "Local" Means Sonoma County

To us Local means Sonoma County -- period. Not Marin, not Napa, and definitely not the state of California, as some of our competitors define it.

From the day we opened our doors in 1988, we’ve built our business on the simple premise that the best food and wine in the world are produced here, in Sonoma County. We didn’t feel like we were pioneers at the time, but as people have come to understand and embrace the value of locally grown and made food and the value of shopping locally, we realize we were part of the early days of the movement.

As a Sonoma County business, we’ve built enduring relationships with local growers, makers, and manufacturers, because they make the foods and wines we love. Many of them were getting started when we were. Now they are nationally known, but for us, they are still old friends who often delivered products to our Cotati store in their cars back in the late 1980s.

Along with local products being excellent choices for taste and quality reasons, buying locally also improves our local economy. The dollars you spend at local retailers buying local products support other local businesses and our tax base, too!
